Globe intern's story
spurs action to help
Sox player's daughterTwo Massachusetts college students
have set up a Web site to help the
daughter of Boston Red Sox first baseman
John Olerud, who suffers from a
gene deletion disorder.
Justyna Jezierski and Alison Foley,
both graduates of Fontbonne Academy
in Milton, Mass., set up the site after
reading about 5-year-old Jordan Olerud
in a Boston Globe story written by
intern Adam Kilgore.
The site, which can be found at
www.theolderudproject.blogspot.com,
raises money for The Jordan Fund,
founded by the Oleruds in 2003.
